“Ķīpsalas ligzda” was the first housing development project of the Maris Gailis Ltd. company which offered row houses, a type of housing as yet little-known in Latvia. 41 row houses designed by architect Juris Poga were constructed on two plots of land. There are several houses with 3 - 5 bedrooms [156-196 m²] available for sale and rent currently available in “Ķīpsalas ligzda”.
“Ķīpsalas ligzda” project was carried out in two rounds, with 16 row houses constructed in Round I, and 25 houses completed in Round II. The project comprises two types of building: type A is a two-storey, four-room building, and type B is a three-storey house of six rooms.

The buildings have insulated claydite block walls with painted wood siding, thermopane glass windows with wooden frames, wooden structure and concrete tiling roof. Each house has a single garage.

The houses are connected to all municipal utilities; each building is supplied with an autonomous gas heating system.

Due attention has been paid to the outdoor surroundings as well – the drive, garage driveway and part of the area at the back of the houses are laid with concrete pavers. The houses have wooden fences on the street side and wire mesh fencing between the plots.
The interior finish includes painted plastered walls, plasterboard partition walls, wooden staircases, Italian marble windowsills, fine bathroom fixtures, tiling, parquet and wall-to-wall carpeting or laminate flooring, built-in kitchen units, wardrobes and fireplaces.
